Hello! My name is Juan Garcia (Mr. Garcia) and I am a passionate music teacher holding dual bachelor’s degrees - One in music performance, with a focus on jazz studies from New Jersey City University and another one in psychology from Gabriela
Mistral University.
My teaching approach integrates insights from psychology creating a supportive and engaging environment to inspire and cultivate a love for music in all my students.
My musical adventure includes performing at the jazz club “Trumpets” in New Jersey, the Jersey City Jazz Festival in 2019, and at WBGO Jazz radio station in a live streaming show, among others. I am a music instructor at Anselmo School of Music and New City Music School. Currently, outside the classroom, I am the musical director of “Sunrise” a 10-piece music band from the company CME. This is my first year teaching at CTTA and I am very excited to be a part of this great family!
